Open to teachers in all Key Stages, specialists and non-specialists

Oct 5th 2018 is World Teachers’ Day and we invite you to take time out at Hestercombe to view teachers and pupils sketchbooks and meet the teachers who found some creative space and made it their own.

We’ll tell you about new projects and training opportunities for you and your school; invite you to get your sketchbooks out and share tips and ideas for partnerships, planning and assessment. We’ll be asking you how we can best help you to develop a creative education for children and young people.

Enhancing Visual Literacy via Sketchbooks

Dr Emese Hall from the University of Exeter Graduate School of Education is working with Spaeda to develop a new research project designed to enhance the understanding and application of drawing as a tool for learning. Find out how to be involved and help us shape the work. Emese will explain more!

Quantocks Consultation for the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Bill Jenman joins us from Fyne Court to tell you about plans for a creative project you can be part of in one of Somerset’s most beautiful places. We want to hear from you about engaging children and young people in heritage, ecology, art and landscape and make sure the project includes what you and your pupils need.
