Arts Education and Schools Liaison Internship

Spaeda seek an intern to assist their marketing, administration and schools liaison.

This position involves working alongside Spaeda’s core team; Education Coordinator, Artistic Director and Finance and Admin Officer to support arts education projects, events and training with local schools, arts and cultural partners across Somerset.

At the time of applying you must be aged 22 to 24 years old and be registered as unemployed with Jobcentre Plus. These eligibility criteria have been approved by the Department of Work and Pensions

The Person 

Spaeda seek an enthusiastic and capable young person to act as an intern supporting a small team of part time staff working across the county.You will be expected to demonstrate excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills and be happy to communicate with a range of professional partners including schools, arts and cultural organisations and arts practitioners. There will also be the opportunity to manage aspects of events and projects and to support marketing using web and social media. You will be comfortable carrying out routine tasks individually and as part of a team.  An appreciation of arts and cultural education is essential.

The Creative Employment Programme is an Arts Council England fund to support the creation of traineeships, formal apprenticeship and paid internship opportunities in England for unemployed young people wishing to pursue a career in the arts and cultural sector.
