Short Breaks Saturday Club

Spaeda and Somerset Art works joined forces to create a six week Arts & Media Club for young people with disabilities aged 12 years upwards.

The club will ran Six Saturdays at Great Bow Wharf Langport, and will participants explored music, film, sculpture and more. It was created with support from the Somerset County Council Short Breaks Team and the new InspirED service.

We chose Great Bow Wharf as the onsite Riverside Café gives parents and carers a chance to relax and take a break, while the arts and media club sessions are running. Langport also features accessible riverside walks and a variety of independent shops, so it’s a great place to come with the family.

The sessions were very popular and we hope to find funding to continue the club.
