The Dancing Giant. A Celebratory Arts Workshop Creating a large scale puppet for Bridgwater Children's Carnival.

Help make a willow dancing giant this Autumn with artist Ali MacKenzie and Musgrove Willows. This dancing figure will lead the first Bridgwater Children's Carnival on November 4th and is a co production between Musgrove Willows, Bridgwater Arts Centre and the 'Celebrating Somerset' project.

The puppet will be made in a week long workshop, which is open to people who have practical, creative or artistic experience and who want to develop Their making skills in creating giant images for carnivals and outdoor Celebratory arts. The workshops will be held during the week of 17th to 21st October inclusive at the Musgrove Willows workshop in Westonzoyland, Somerset. The workshops will run 10 to 5 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday,2-5, and 7-9 Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The course is limited to 9 spaces and subsidized for Somerset residents:

there is a £25 fee per day for those who live outside the county.
